I added a new expanded cinema piece to this website. I made it in 2007 and it’s called ‘Peristaltic Fantasy’. It was made for an exhibition by n.o.w.here called ‘Instructions For Film‘ at Zoo Art Fair in the Royal Academy of Arts, London. It was later published by n.o.w.here. Go here to take a look.
I moved Fleischfilm to a new host. As a result most of the movie files are now outsourced to my Vimeo account and embeded on this site. As I’m still in the process of fine tuning you might encounter some glitches with the movie files. Everything should be back to normal in a few days.
I finished the re-cut of ‘Energie!’ for Basement Jaxx. The clip will be used for their Live Show and screened on a huge 6,7m x 1,8m LED display behind the band. Please note that the vocals are missing in this version.
A while ago my brother Timo and I founded the Center for Technology and Art Berlin. As he’s a scientist working with cutting edge virtual reality technology we thought we should work together to find interesting concepts for this technology. For example we sketched a VR installation that can be found here. Timo also wrote an article about a cheap but nonetheless effective VR setup using two wiimotes that can be investigated here.
Energie! received a first prize award at FLEXfest.
I’ve been comissioned to do a remix of ‘Energie!’ to a Basement Jaxx song to be shown as part of the stage design for their upcoming tour which begins in april. It’ll be a whole new film, first because of the extreme almost 4:1 screen ratio they need and also I’ll be introducing color in the remix.
And another blog entry about Deborah’s film program about the color red. The Directors Lounge Blog just published an interesting post about the event.
